Old Testament intercession:

Judges 14: 5-6:  "Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath:  and, behold, a young lion roared against him.  And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand:  but he told not his father or his mother what he had done."

I Samuel 25: 7:  "And now I have heard that thou hast shearers:  now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel."

I Samuel 25: 15-16:  "But the men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt, neither missed we any thing, as long as we were conversant with them, when we were in the fields.  They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep."

I Samuel 25: 23-26:  "And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground.  And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be:  and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.  Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal:  for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him:  but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.  Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal."

I Samuel 25: 28:  "I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid:  for the LORD will certainly make my Lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days."

II Kings 1: 9-10:  "Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty.  And he went up to him:  and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill.  And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.  And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.  And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty."

Job 42: 10:  "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends." 

New Testament intercession:

Romans 8: 18-19:  "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory [glorification, rapture, Holy Fire] which shall be revealed in us.  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." 

Romans 8: 26-27:  "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:  for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:  but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Matthew 3: 11-12:  "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance:  but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:  he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:  Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

John 17: 9-11:  "I pray for them:  I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.  And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.  Holy Father, keep through thine own name those thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are."

John 17: 15-16:  "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world."

John 17: 20-22:  "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:  that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one."

Ephesians 6: 18:  "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Revelation 19: 12-15:  "His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he heimself.  And he wa clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."

"Am I fulfilling the ministry of the interior?  There is no snare or any danger of infatuation or pride in intercession, it is a hidden ministry that brings forth fruit whereby the Father is glorified . . .The disciple who abides in Jesus is the will of God, and his apparently free choices are God's fore-ordained decrees.  Mysterious?  Logically contradictory and absurd?  Yes, but a glorious truth to a saint."

"The circumstances of a saint's life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance. God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you cannot understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God is bringing you into places and among people and into conditions in order that the intercession of the Spirit in you may take a particular line. Never put your hand in front of the circumstances and say--I am going to be my own providence here, I must watch this, and guard that. All your circumstances are in the hand of God, therefore never think it strange concerning the circumstances you are in. Your part in intercessory prayer is not to enter into the agony of intercession, but to utilize the common-sense circumstances God puts you in, and the common-sense people He puts you amongst by His providence, to bring them before God's throne and give the Spirit in you a chance to intercede for them. In this way God is going to sweep the whole world with His saints.

I must do the human side of intercession, and the human side is the circumstances I am in and the people I am in contact with. I have to keep my conscious life as a shrine of the Holy Ghost, then as I bring the different ones before God, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for them.

LETTER XII

The Power of Christ to Overcome all Sin Within You.

FRIEND,

I have had of late some deep and serious thoughts concerning you, and a sense of you, as between the Lord and my own soul, yet I have not had anything to signify or express to you, until this morning. But something this morning sprang up in my heart, sweetly and freshly, which I had pure drawings to impart to you.

There was a quick sense of you upon my heart, and in that sense this cry was in me: - Oh! that you were acquainted with the pure, eternal power of the Lord, and might feel his outstretched arm revealed in you, and witness the faith which stands in that power; and in that faith, believe and wait for what God is doing, and willing to do, in and for his children.

"If you had faith," said Christ, "but as a grain of mustard seed, you should say to this mountain, be you cast into the midst of the sea, and it should be so." Indeed, the true faith, the pure faith, the living faith, which stands in the power, does remove all the mountains that are in the way, and makes the crooked ways straight, and the rough ways plain. If you had lived in the days of Christ's flesh, and wanted outward healing, and had been willing to come to him for healing, but had not come with faith that he was able and willing to heal perfectly; might  not you have missed of that cleansing and outward health and salvation, which others met with? For, did not he say, "Be it unto you according to your faith?" And is not he the Physician of the soul and is not his skill to be trusted and believed in? He that hopes, and believes, and waits, and prays, and fights the good fight of faith, which gives victory over sin, Satan, and the world - he may possibly overcome; yes, he that wars lawfully, (that is, with the spiritual weapon, which is mighty through God,) he that wars with this only, and with this constantly, shall be sure to overcome. For, greater is He that is in the true believer, than he that is in the world. O that you might have experience of these things, and witness the manner of  Christ’s love and power displayed in you, and the victories and conquests that come by these, and the safety and peace which is under it! For, of a truth, we do not boast, but are witnesses of the majesty of God's love and power, which we testify of. The Lord to enlighten and guide you, that you may obtain the desires of your heart; for, I really believe your desire is after holiness and after communion with the Father and the Son, and with the saints in light, Oh that you may be led into the true pure light of life, that there you may enjoy what in this kind you desire! This is from one, who singly, as in the Lord's sight, wishes well unto you.

Suffer God's Judgment in Your Heart

DEAR FRIEND,

Since I last saw you, there have been many deep and serious thoughts on my heart concerning you; and a sense of your state as before the Lord, and breathings of heart for you. I am sensible, that the Spirit of the Lord is striving with you, and in some measure opening your heart towards him and his Truth; and I am sensible withal, that there is much striving against him; and many strongholds of wisdom and reasonings in you, which must be broken down, before Truth can spring up in your heart, and exercise its power in you, and have full command in you. Now, this morning, when I awoke, there were three things sprang up in me, which my heart did singly and earnestly desire for you. One was, that you might be led by God's Holy Spirit into the new and living covenant, where Christ is revealed, and the soul united to him as the Lord and King, in a bond of indissoluble union. Another was, that you might daily be taught of God, and learn of him, in this holy, new, pure, and everlasting covenant. The third was, that you might be true and faithful to God, to obey and follow him, in whatever he teaches and requires of you.

If you were but in this state, you would find sweetness and rest, peace and power, the righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ, and life eternal, revealed in your own heart; and with joy, draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Now, if you come to witness Christ's appearance in spirit, and will become a disciple unto him, there are three things you must apply your heart to learn of him; which indeed are the sum of the gospel, or of what is taught in and by the gospel. The first is, to fear God. This is the beginning of true heavenly wisdom, and this is the perfection and the end of wisdom also; for, true wisdom not only brings into the fear, but it builds up in the fear, yes, and perfects in the fear also; according as the apostle said, "Perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord." Now, this is not such a fear, as man can attain by anything he can do; but is the fear of the new covenant, which God puts into the hearts of his children, as he quickens them and brings them up in the new covenant. This is such a fear, as that those in whom it is placed, cannot depart from the Lord; nor, abiding in it, err from the way of life and holiness; for all sin and transgression, all rebellion against the Lord, and grieving and quenching his Spirit, is out of this fear. [George Fox said in his Doctrinal Books: To fear God, is not to grieve nor offend Him, but to be subject to Him and reverence Him.]. Oh that you might receive this fear from the Lord, and grow up unto him daily in it.

The second, which depends upon and flows from the former, is, to give glory to God, in discerning his life and power, and the virtue of his Spirit and his grace, working all in you; and so, still ascribing the glory to him, of all you are, do, or can do. For, in the day of the gospel, no flesh can glory in the presence of our God; but, the Lord alone is exalted in the spirits of his children, in that day. And indeed, as every one comes into the fear of the new covenant, the presence of the Lord is there, dwelling in the midst of the heart; and he is found working all in it, and bringing forth the seed of life, and working down sin, and death, and corruption. And they that are here, feel their own poverty and nothingness, as in themselves; and that their way to become strong in Christ, is first to become weak in themselves: and so, when they are strong in him, he who is their strength is glorified and admired, and self is of no reputation or value forever and ever; for, that is cleaved to, which brought down self, and that power and spirit being cleaved to, still keeps it down.

The third is, that you learn to worship God in spirit and truth. Oh this worship is precious indeed! and this is the only sort of worship which God notices and regards, among the many various kinds of worshippers which appear at this day. This worship was declared by Christ, and taught his disciples; but it has been in great measure departed from; and though many have sought after it, yet none ever could find it, but as they have learned of the Father to return to the anointing; and so, to be gathered into his Spirit, where Christ's name is known, and where they that meet together, worship in his name; and, of a truth, none know or can worship in Christ's name besides these. There have been great mistakes about worship and gatherings; they having not been in the name and power of our Lord Jesus Christ, but only in a profession thereof, and an imitation of things, without the true life and power; and what is that worship and religion in the sight of the Lord?

Now, so that you may come into this state, and learn all these lessons of the Lord in the new covenant, there is one thing indispensably necessary for you; which is, to know the hour of God's judgment in your own heart, and to lie under the judgment of the Lord, bearing it until he finished it, and brings it forth unto victory. For, this is the way by which he purges and redeems the soul; namely, by the spirit of judgment and burning. You must therefore wait for, and come to feel, the Spirit of the Lord near you, discovering sin to you, and revealing judgment against it, and executing his righteous judgment upon the evil nature in you; that he may raise up that good and tender plant of righteousness, out of the dry and barren ground, to which his mercy is.

If you come to know God's Spirit, and to receive it, and feel it work in you, and its pure light shine from the fountain and spring of life, you will have a quicker sense and discerning from it, than can arise either from words written, or from thought;  that is, the Lord will show you the way whereof you doubt ; quicker than a thought can arise in you; and the Lord will show you evil, in a pure sense of the new nature, quicker than you can think or consider of anything. And indeed, this is needful; for sin lodges in the evil nature inwardly, and works, not so much by a known law set up in the mind, as by a secret nature; and, if it is not resisted and withstood by another nature, it can never be overcome. Now, by this judgment set up in the heart, does God overcome and keep down sin forever; for the judgment of God is stronger than sin and will bring it down, where his judgment is received and abode in; and what bought it down, being kept to, will keep it down; and, it being kept down, life and righteousness, even the righteous life, Spirit, and power of the Lord Jesus inwardly revealed, will be uppermost, and reign over it.

Perhaps these words, at present may be hard to you; but, if you come to wait on God's Holy Spirit, and to the feeling of his appearance in your heart, and learn of him to know what is good and what is evil in your words, ways, worship, yes, and in your very heart and thoughts, and also to choose the good and refuse the evil, they will grow easier and easier, and plainer and plainer, daily, as you come into the sense and experience of the things they mention. As you will find Christ, inwardly revealed in spirit, to be very properly called the Word of God, even the engrafted word which is able to save the soul; for he is quick and powerful; and sharper than any two-edged sword, able to cut down all that shall appear or rise up in the heart, to resist or oppose his work.

The Lord so guide you, manifest himself to you, help you, and lead you by his Holy Spirit and power, as that you may come undeniably to experience, and to be satisfied by him about these things. And mind not so much to know, as to be obedient and subjected to the Lord, both in your heart and in your conversation also, in the least thing that he makes manifest. The Lord lead you as he sees good, and give you faithfully to follow; for else, if the Lord should lead in anything, and you not follow in that thing, his Spirit would be grieved and vexed thereby, and your heart in danger of being hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. The Lord give you the sense and savor of these things; that you may thereby be kindled to wait on the Lord, to be led into the light of the living; that you may live and walk with him in it, who is, and dwells, and walks with his, in the light. Oh house of Jacob! Come you, let us walk in the light of the Lord, and let us come up to Zion, the holy hill of God, and to the gospel Jerusalem, that there he may teach us of his ways, and we may there learn of him to walk in his paths; for there, is the place of wisdom and true understanding, which none know but those that are taught of God.

Christ the Root of all True Religion

To Thomas Walmsley

Dear FRIEND

There is something on my heart this morning to write to you, in the same love in which I have previously written, which I feel to be pure, of God, and unfeigned towards you and all men; though it also puts a difference between those that are renewed by him and bear his image, and those who have only a form or religion, without the power and life thereof, which sanctifies and redeems up to God, wherever it is received.

What was on my heart to you, in true, pure, and tender love, is this which follows: All true religion has a true root; and that religion, profession, worship, faith, hope, peace, assurance, etc., which grows not from the true root, is not true.

Now, this root is near, and must be felt near, bearing the branch, and causing it to bring forth fruit. It is not enough to hear of Christ, or read of Christ; but this is the thing, - to feel him my root, my life, my foundation; and my soul engrafted into him, by him who has power to engraft. To feel repentance given me by him, faith given me by him, the Father revealed and, be known to me by him, by the pure shining of his light in my heart; God, who caused the light to shine out of darkness, causing it to shine there; so that, in and through him, I come to know not the Son himself only, but the Father also - and then, to come out of the darkness, out of the sin, out of the pollutions of the spirit of this world, into the pure, holy fellowship of the living, by his holy guidance and conduct; and so, to feel all my prayers, all my comforts, all my willingness, all my ability to do and suffer for God and the testimony of his Truth, to arise from this holy, pure root of life, which gives daily strength against sin and death, to all who wait in true humility, and pure subjection of soul and spirit, upon him. Here, is unspeakable comfort and satisfaction given by him to the soul, which all the reasonings of men, with all the devices of Satan, cannot damp. For, He who gave it, preserves and maintains it, over all the strength that can assault it. Oh Friend! I beseech you, mind this; come, Oh come to the true root! Come to Christ indeed! Rest not in an outward knowledge; but come to the inward life, the hidden life, and receive life from him who is the life; and then abide in and live to God in the life of his Son. For death and destruction, corruption and vanity, may talk of the fame of Christ, who is the wisdom of God; but they cannot know nor find out the place where this wisdom is revealed; they cannot come at the true, pure fear, which God puts into the hearts of his; this is the beginning of the true wisdom, which cleanses darkness and impurity out of the hearts of those to whom it is given. For light expels darkness; life expels death; purity expels impurity; Christ, where he is received, binds and cuts out the strong man, taking possession of the heart. And if any man be truly and really in Christ, he comes to witness a new creation, even the passing away of old things, and all things becoming new.

Christ is faithful In all his house, "In whose house are we," said the Apostle, “if we hold fast the confidence, and the rejoicing of the hope, firm unto the end," Heb 3:6 - faithful as a Son, who comes in the name and authority of the Father, to do whatsoever is to be done in the heart - faithful in discovering whatever is contrary to God there -  faithful in engaging his power against it. And shall not his power prevail? and where it prevails, and the good pleasure of God's goodness is fulfilled, and the work of faith with power, is not the name of the Lord Jesus Christ glorified there? Read 2 Thes 1:11-12, and consider. Did Christ overcome the devil in that body of his flesh, and shall He not overcome him in the hearts of his children by the power of his Spirit, which he received of the Father to comfort them and carry on his work gloriously in them? What shall become of those that do not fight under Christ, and do not overcome through Christ? Read Rev 3:21. I would not have you deceived of your soul, or of that religion which saves the soul, which religion stands not in word, but in power. Therefore, wait to feel the Spirit and power of Christ, saving you from that, which nothing else can save you from; and bringing that down in you under his feet, which nothing else can bring down.

This is from the true desire which my soul has, after the eternal salvation and satisfaction of yours.

Dreams from the LORD and Journal 2007-2008 (excerpts)

I got dropped off in San Miguel, California late yesterday afternoon. I slept in a haystack on a ranch just north of San Miguel. It got down to 16 degrees F last night--very cold for this part of California.

I left Riverton, Wyoming on the 10^th of January. I hitchhiked south through Utah and Arizona. I stayed at a Christian mission in Flagstaff for one night. I headed west on I-40 and got a ride from Ash Fork, Arizona to Kramer Junction, California with a couple, Stephan and Suzie.

Stephan, Suzie and I had a great conversation. They were coming back from Phoenix and Flagstaff and were going back to Orange County where they lived. Stephan used to do some hitchhiking years ago. We talked about living by faith and other things of God. They bought me a big Subway sandwich in Kingman and then they had me drive from Kingman to Barstow.

I slept in some abandoned motel in Kramer Junction and then hitchhiked to Bakersfield and Wasco. A young man named Steve gave me a ride to Wasco. We had a good talk about the Gospel. He said that you had to be desperate for God when you live as a Christian. I like the word “desperate”; if Steve stays hungry and desperate for God, then he will always be in good hands--in God’s hands. I slept in an orchard just west of Wasco that night. The next day I made my way to Lost Hills, Paso Robles and then to San Miguel. I will continue to go north on U.S. 101 till the Lord tells me different. It is still very cool here in San Miguel; I hope it warms up some.

Yesterday I was walking east on I-90 near Big Timber, Montana and the wind was blowing very hard at my back. This guy named Paul pulled over and picked me up. We drove to Billings where we got a hamburger and then we proceeded south to Crow Agency and saw the site of the Battle of the Little Big Horn where Colonel George Custer and all his men were killed in June 1876. It was a really nice museum and we saw an eighteen-minute film on the battle. We visited the site of Custer’s Last Stand. There were a lot of foreign-born soldiers under Custer’s command; I believe 128 were born in Ireland. It is really beautiful country there on the Little Big Horn River.

Paul and I continued south into Wyoming. We had a really intense talk about the Gospel and certain Scriptures. Paul was originally from Philadelphia and went to school at the University of North Dakota. He had spent some time in the Marine Corps and, later, in the Air Force. He had gone through a divorce, so when he dropped me off in Casper, we had a prayer meeting for he and his wife and his son. It was a very edifying trip from Montana to Casper. Paul has a really strong faith in the Lord. I believe the Lord is going to do some powerful things in Paul’s life.

I found a place to sleep near the Ghostown Truck Stop and then I made my way west to Riverton this morning. Somewhere west of the Natrona County Airport this guy in a blue pickup stopped to give me a ride. His name was Mike and he had picked me up before back in 2002 or 2003. We had a real good talk about the Christian life and I remember I had given him my typescript of High Plains Drifter when he and his brother first picked me up--they gave me a ride to Orin Junction, Wyoming and kicked me done some bucks; Mike said he still had the copy of the typescript. Mike was a wrestler in high school and we talked about Iowa State University and University of Iowa wrestling for a while. He drove me to Hiland and I gave him a copy of my CD--Mike also gave me some money to help me out--it was a very generous donation.

I made it to Washington, D.C. (the White House) just after 7 P.M. I stayed at the Clarksburg Mission in Clarksburg, West Virginia last night and hitchhiked to Dunn Loring, Virginia. It cost $3.10 to take the Metro from Dunn Loring to the Metro Center in downtown Washington. I am sitting in Lafayette Park on a park bench.

The weather was pretty good most of the way from Wyoming. I got rained on in Indiana and Ohio, but this Christian picked me up in Springfield, Ohio and took me to a house he owned in Columbus, Ohio. The house was where he was taking care of drug addicts and alcoholics. While I was there I was able to shower, shave and wash my clothes. I was very grateful. I stayed one night and then hitchhiked into West Virginia.

I got a good ride with a guy from Abilene, Kansas all the way to Monrovia, Indiana. I found a broken down barn two miles south of I-70 and slept in some straw that night. The next day I got a quick ride to Indianapolis. I had to walk quite a few miles around Indianapolis till I got to Mount Comfort where I slept in some straw bales that night. I made a little cave out of the bales and stayed pretty warm. I was very grateful that it did not rain much that night.

Today I got a ride with a Christian truck driver from Ashton, Idaho to Three Forks, Montana. When I got out of the cab of the tractor-trailer, the truck driver told me that he had a word from the Lord for me: “Consider My ways.” I meditated on this for awhile and I believe it means that His thoughts are higher than my thoughts and that His ways are higher than my ways.

Just got dropped off here in Wells, Nevada. I got a good ride with a truck driver from Sparks--his name was Viktor and he was originally from the Ukraine. He didn’t speak much English, so we didn’t talk about much.

Yesterday as I walked through Mariposa, California, these two ladies picked me up and dropped me off at Mt. Bullion--there was a bar there, so I thought I would stop there and get a cheeseburger.

These two ladies were Christians and the lady driving knew that she was supposed to give me a ride. She told me that she picked up this hitchhiker in Bakersfield a while back and he was really different--he kept staring at her. He asked her, “Aren’t you afraid of me?” And she said, “I am washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ.” He didn’t say much after that.

The lady then told me that later on--it was either in a newspaper article or on the local nightly news--that the police had a man in jail that had killed a few women in the Bakersfield area. The hitchhiker that she had picked up looked exactly like the guy that the police had in custody.

The police questioned the hitchhiker/killer and he said that he took this one woman out to Tehachapi into the desert and he wanted to kill her, but he wasn’t able to. My guess is that she was a Christian and the demon inside of him was not able to overpower the Holy Spirit inside of her. There is power, power, wonderworking power in the Blood of the Lamb.

I hitchhiked from North Fork, Idaho to Missoula, Montana today. It is very hot right now--around 96 degrees F--so I thought I would sit down at a picnic table under a shade tree and do some writing.

Yesterday I was walking somewhere between Yankee Fork and Clayton, Idaho on U.S. 93 when this lady pulled over to pick me up. Her name was Lucille and she was 81 years old--and she was an on-fire, Holy Ghost Christian. We had a great talk all the way to Salmon where she stopped to visit a friend of hers, Dorothy, who is also a Christian.

Dorothy had been suffering from macular degeneration in her eyes, her ears weren’t 100 per cent and she had arthritis in her hands. Other than that, Dorothy looked pretty healthy for a woman of 84. She definitely was anointed with the Holy Ghost and had a very strong faith in the Lord.

Lucille and I had Dorothy sit in a chair in the living room and we began to pray for her. I laid my hands on her head and began praying loudly in tongues. I then laid my hands on her ears. I could feel virtue go through my hands. Dorothy definitely had a healing touch from the Lord. It was a powerful time.

After the prayer meeting, Dorothy tried to stand up, but she wobbled around a bit. I asked her if she was dizzy. Dorothy said, no, that she was drunk in the Spirit.

Dorothy and Lucille took me out to eat at Brewster’s Restaurant in Salmon and then I hit the road. I hitchhiked to North Fork and then walked a few miles, jumped over a fence and slept in someone’s pasture that night. I found an old piece of plywood lying around in the grass, unrolled my sleeping bag on top of it and slept pretty good last night.

I am at the Missoula Memorial Rose Garden; they have a World War II, Korea and Vietnam War memorial here. I’ll probably walk to I-90 and then head east. It is really hot here [it later got up to 102 degrees F]; I’m feeling a bit dizzy.

A little bit more about Lucille. She said that she was first married in 1942. Her first husband was in World War II and was a waist gunner in a B-17 bomber. He flew in 50 missions over Europe. On his 50^th mission, he got shot down over France and was captured by German SS troops and spent two years as a P.O.W. He said the flak was really bad: the tail section of the B-17 got blown off; half the crew was killed. The pilot, the co-pilot, another guy and he were able to bail out of the plane. The French Underground tried to help them, but they were eventually captured. One guy did manage to escape and made it back to England and then to the United States.

I guess Lucille’s husband was tortured while he was a P.O.W. When he came home after the war, he suffered greatly from battle fatigue: she would be sleeping in bed and he would start hitting her because he would be having a bad dream or a flashback. After ten years of physical abuse, Lucille got divorced from her husband. In 1945, World War II ended--but not for some people.

Lucille later got remarried and got gloriously saved at the age of 47. Now she joyfully serves the Lord and does His will. She even picked up a hitchhiker on a highway in Idaho and I am very grateful that she did. Lucille is a gift from God.

Last night I had a dream where I was watching a movie reel--I was watching the movie slowly, frame by frame. Then I noticed this one frame. On the frame was one word: “Jericho.” I believe “Jericho” means “Walls of Jericho” or http://wallsofjericho.50megs.com --the name of my website.

Two days ago, when I was at the public library in Arco, Idaho, I typed up the dream that I had about the destruction of Las Vegas (17 December 2006) onto my website. I believe the Lord is telling me that he wants me to warn as many people as I can about the coming destruction of Las Vegas.

I slept in the bleachers at the city park in Kooskia, Idaho last night. I made it to Kim and Pat’s place this morning. I helped Kim stack some firewood and then he, his grandson, Kevin, and I drove down to the Clearwater River and went swimming for about an hour. I hadn’t gone swimming in years. It was a lot of fun and very refreshing.

Concerning the dream that I had on the 1^st of August. In the dream, I saw three movie reels going at once. The three films were moving very slowly--they were on the horizontal--you could see each individual frame very well. On each frame was a word or a few words. Then I noticed the word “Jericho” on a frame in the middle movie reel. The film was going either right to left or left to right. When I noticed the word “Jericho”, the film stopped moving and the dream ended.

Last night I had a dream where I was walking in these woods. Then President Ronald Reagan and another politician showed up and walked to where I was standing. President Reagan shook my hand and said, “Tim Shey, it is great to meet you. Keep up the good work.” The other politician looked like a former president or a U.S. senator. They were dressed in work clothes--outdoor clothing; they looked like they were hunting or fishing. I told President Reagan that it was an honor to meet him. President Reagan and the other politician walked around for a short while and then came back to where I was standing. Once more President Reagan shook my hand and said something like, “Tim Shey, it was good to see you again;” he turned and walked away. The way he spoke, it seemed like President Reagan’s memory was not so good; he hesitated when he spoke to me. It was the Reagan of the early 1990s, not the Reagan of the early 1980s (when he was in the White House). Then the dream ended.

This added 18 October 2007: I believe the Lord gave me this dream because I have been writing some things on the Internet concerning Mike Atkins and River Crossing Church (Jackson Hole Christian Center) in Jackson, Wyoming. I have been telling people in Jackson for the past two years that the Jackson Hole Christian Center is apostate and that Mike Atkins is a real con man. There have been times when I have talked to people about the “Jackson Heathen Christian Center” and warned about Mike Atkins and that they shouldn’t go to church there.

I quit going to church regularly in November of 1991, but once in a while I will visit a church if someone asks me to. I went to the Jackson Hole Christian Center three times, and the last two times, the Lord chastened me for being there. There is a lot of witchcraft in that church and an Ahab/Jezebel spirit runs that place. I really believe that Mike Atkins is a pastor because he makes a lot of money deceiving the flock. The blind lead the blind into a ditch.

Back to the dream with President Reagan. When President Reagan shook my hand, I believe the Lord was thanking me for writing and exposing Mike Atkins and River Crossing Church on the Internet. I don’t know if many people will read the short articles that I typed up, but at least it is on the Internet.

A prophet is a watchman on the wall. If the Lord wants me to warn people about Satan’s tactics and strategies, then this is what I must do. Satan has really infiltrated River Crossing Church (Jackson Hole Christian Center) in Jackson, Wyoming. Mike Atkins needs to repent of being a wolf in sheep’s clothing and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, be born again and submit to the will of the Father.

California Wildfire Update; Jackson Hole Daily (October 27-28, 2007): “In all, more than a dozen fires had raced across more than 490,000 acres--or 765 square miles--by Friday. At least three people and possibly seven have been killed by flames. Seven others died of various causes after being evacuated.

“About 1,800 homes have been destroyed, and damage has been put at more than $1 billion in San Diego County alone.”

On 12 October of this year, Governor Schwarzenegger signed Senate Bill 777 into law. This law promotes homosexuality (or protects homosexual behavior) in California’s public schools; it takes effect on 1 January 2008. I really believe that these wildfires happened because Governor Schwarzenegger signed SB 777 into law. “For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12: 29).”

Last night I had a dream where President George W. Bush was giving a speech. There was a big crowd of people sitting in chairs and he was speaking from a podium. Then it seemed like there was a question-and-answer period after his speech. I then spoke up and told President Bush that he is constantly in the public eye, and because he is under so much stress being President, that he really needs to get his strength from Jesus Christ. I spoke at length on having faith in Christ. I said some more things, but they are gone from me now.

In the second part of the dream, I was listening to Senator John McCain give a speech to a group of people. It looked like we were outside next to a street. Senator McCain then said that we should rename a certain building “jericho.” Senator McCain spoke for a while longer and then the dream ended. The interesting thing about this dream is that while I was watching Senator McCain give the speech, the text of the speech was typed up underneath the scene of Senator McCain speaking to the people--just as if you were watching TV. Also, the letter “J” in “jericho” was lower case, not upper case.

Back to the President Bush/Senator McCain dream. This is my first dream about President Bush in a long time--maybe in over a year. This is also the first dream I have had about Senator McCain. Could this dream mean that John McCain will be our next President? In the dream, when Senator McCain mentioned the word “jericho”, I believe this means that John McCain and myself are on the same wavelength. The word “jericho”, of course, is a catchword for http://wallsofjericho.50megs.com or the work that I am doing for the Lord (intercession).

This morning (I was staying at the Golden Rule Mission in Helper, Utah) on Face the Nation, Senator McCain was being interviewed about his Presidential campaign. I saw only a couple of minutes of the interview. I did hear Senator McCain say, “When I get the nomination . . .” The Lord’s timing is always perfect.

Last night I had a dream where I was in the Special Forces (Green Berets). I was with several other Green Berets and it looked like we were tramping around in some jungle. The last scene in the dream: there was a close-up of me: I was wearing green camo, a jungle hat, my face was blackened and I was carrying an M-16.

Just got dropped off in Bishop, California. Looks like there is a big snow storm coming into the Sierra Nevadas. The storm may last for two days.

Yesterday, I got a ride with a guy named Robert. He took me from just west of Flagstaff, Arizona on I-40 to Barstow, California. He was originally from Havana, Cuba. Robert spoke in broken English. He escaped from Cuba three years ago. He and seven other people got in a boat and began rowing to Florida. They were in the boat for eight days. Five of the people died enroute. Robert, another man and a woman survived the trip. It took a lot of guts to do that. Freedom--or the hunger for freedom--is a very powerful mover in a world of slavery and oppression. The human spirit cannot remain shackled forever. Jesus sets the captives free.

Hebrews 13: 13: “Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.”

I am now sitting in the jail at the Powder River County Sheriff's Office in Broadus, Montana. Looks like I will stay here overnight and then head west tomorrow. I hitchhiked from Rapid City, South Dakota to Broadus earlier today. It is snowing pretty good outside, so I have a warm place to sleep tonight. When I got dropped off here in Broadus, I went to the Sheriff's Office to see if somone could put me up in a motel for the night. The sheriff suggested that I stay in the jail because it was empty and it had just been cleaned. This will be the first time I have ever stayed in a jail.

Tim is the guy who gave me the ride from just west of Rapid City to Broadus. He is originally from Seattle where he used to work as a sheetrocker. He and his wife and three children live here in Broadus so that they can take care of Tim's grandfather.

Tim told me that he became a Christian a while back after he was in a really bad car crash. His buddy died in the crash and Tim was in a body cast for two months. Crisis sometimes precedes conversion.
